Denis Bertin has always had a deep love for woodworking. Over the years, he’s spent countless hours crafting projects for friends in the area, and recently, he decided to turn that passion into something bigger. The Bearded Cabinet Guy is a one-man operation offering custom cabinets, vanities, and a variety of other projects, often at the same price as the standard sizes you’d find at big box stores.
“You know how people say, ‘I know a guy who knows a guy who builds cabinets’? Well, I’m that guy,” says Denis.
The idea was born out of the high prices many homeowners face when tackling interior renovations. “For a small kitchen, you’re looking at $15,000 or $20,000. I can cut that in half. In this economy, there’s a solution to high prices.”
Denis builds — you install. His goal is to work closely with each customer to understand their budget and make recommendations that could save them money. That personal approach comes from lived experience: when Denis went to renovate his own bathroom, he was stunned by the costs. “It’s ridiculous,” he says. That frustration sparked the idea to create something more feasible for everyday homeowners.
Instead of writing off your renovation dreams as a pipe dream, The Bearded Cabinet Guy is here to deliver quality work at quality prices.

We want to thank Denis for the great work he’s doing. There are a lot of problems out there, but there are also a lot of solutions, and people like Denis see an issue and find a way around it. That’s it for another edition of Northern Heat Report: the place where undiscovered stories come to light.
